6th December 1917 - the Halifax explosion.

SS Mont Blanc, a French ship fully loaded with explosives, collided with Norwegian SS Imo in the harbour of Halifax, Canada.
About 2000 people were killed, 9000 injured when SS Mont Blanc has exploded.
